Looking for some expert advice here.
I am a foreigner rented whole unit for 2 years. My lease is expiring on Jan 19th. When the owners agent tried to renew the lease , it seems like the foreigner quota is not available in my block.

Is the foreigner quota mandatory for renewal also, if that is the case will there be any quota available once my lease expires and i vacate.

I have registered school for my kid and both tenant and landlord want to renew the lease .

Please help with your advice.

Dear sir/madam,

Ethnic and foreigner quota changes on a monthly basis if there is other movements within the precinct and block, however in most cases, renewal should not be affected.

Should your property be a HDB unit, you may wish to visit the HDB branch office together with the landlord to find out what are the options available and maybe appeal accordingly.
